Hey Pop, I am strong because you were the strongest, I am smart because you were brilliant, I love with everything I am because you showed me what it meant to be selfless, I try every day to bring light and laughter to people's lives because you set the example cracking jokes in the line at the grocery store, embarrassing the hell out of me as a kid. I realized early in adulthood how special and rare you were in that sense. I educate myself because you never stopped doing experiments. I am infinitely grateful to have the two best parents a boy could ever ask for, and am happy that you and mom are back together. Love you old guy. -Your Son

Papa, You taught me so much that i can never stop trying to be as smart and awesome as you. You taught me to never give up, to treat everyone with love and that you can fix ANYTHING with a few brain cells, elbow grease and duct tape. I will you miss you papa cuz you are the best grandpa a kid could ask for. Love, Joshua

I am so sorry to hear that Jim passed away. I was his secretary when I first started at Dresser-Rand. I used to love hearing the stories he had to tell and he had some truly interesting ones. I always used to catch him laughing when no one else was around. Finally curiosity got the best of me and I asked him why he was always laughing. He said that he was always thinking about things that happened in the past and it cracked him up. He was always so happy and truly one of my favorite people to work for.

Uncle Jim What can I say; he was a great man and a man before his time. He developed the K.I.S.S (Keep it simple stupid) rule. From the every day problems that he solved like the very creative mousetrap to very complicated repairs to get that car moving 10 more miles. There were always very creative solutions using duct tape, nylons or another commonly used house hold products in his repair. Uncle Jim would put MacGyver to shame! He always put his family first! I sure hope I can reach the bar that you have set so high. The one story that I will take to the grave is when Grandpa Brice passed away and he got jobs to help grandma out. This was all done without grandma knowing about it - which to this day I can't believe! Ps: don't forget spray painting his sneakers to get thru a business meeting. Pss: tell aunt Shirley we all miss her!
