Patricia A. Ost
Olean, NY-Patricia A. Ost of 1630 E. River Rd. passed away Tuesday (January 26, 2010) in the Absolut of Salamanca while surrounded by her loving family.
Born March 17, 1944 in Buffalo, NY she was the daughter of Andrew and Thelma Napier French. On October 25, 1975 in Gettysburg, PA she married Robert J. Ost who survives.
Mrs. Ost was raised in Buffalo and graduated from Riverside High School, class of 1963. She had resided in Olean for the past 35 years and had been employed as a swing manager for McDonald's Restaurant, retiring in 2000 due to ill health.
She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Olean and was a life member of the Olean VFW Post 1619 Auxiliary. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and sudoku.
Surviving besides her husband are 1 daughter Dottie Ost of Westfield; 1 granddaughter Ariel Breads; 6 siblings Madelyn Stevens of Lockport, NY, Janice (Robert) VanGhle of Buffalo, Andrea (Ray) Deuel of Camden, NY, Virginia (Angelo) DiMino of W. Seneca, NY, Norman (Jeanette) French of Lockport, NY and Dawn (Paul) Cavaliere of Syracuse, NY, several nieces and nephews and a best friend Ali Studer of Olean.
There will be no prior visitation. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held Saturday (February 13, 2010) at 1:00pm in the Bethany Lutheran Church in Olean. Rev. Marie Meeks, pastor, will officiate. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Homecare and Hospice 1225 W. State St. Olean, NY 14760.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
