Obituary of Anita Bissell

Anita M. Bissell Olean-Anita M. Bissell, 71, of 1749 Gargoyle Rd. Lot 41, died Saturday (December 5, 2009) at the Olean General Hospital. Born January 27, 1938 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of Leo and Anna Whitmer, Sr. She was married to Roberto Hernadez Perez, II, who predeceased her in 1964. She later married Cyrus C. Bissell who predeceased her on June 2, 2004. Mrs. Bissell was raised in Allegany and moved to Texas. She later lived in Chesapeake, VA for many years before returning to Allegany four years ago. She was employed for many years for the City of Virginia Beach in the Mental Health Employment services department. She enjoyed cooking, baking, painting, crocheting and doing crafts. She also loved her cats. Surviving are 1 son Roberto H. (Robin) Perez, III of Bradford, Pa; 1 daughter Rebecca (Daniel) Bosko of Virginia Beach, VA; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; her loving companion for the past four years, Stanley Morgan of Olean and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several half brothers and half sisters. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean on Friday (December 11, 2009) from 1-3pm, at which time funeral services will begin. Rev. Bert Tidlund, pastor of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Hornell, will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
