Theodore W. Blaske
Hinsdale, NY-Theodore W. Blaske of 1502 Emery St. died Thursday (September 24, 2009) in his home.
Born April 2, 1931 in Franklinville, NY he was the son of Theodore M. and Irene s. McGill Blaske.
Mr. Blaske was a 1948 graduate of Olean High School and attended Westbrook Commercial Academy in Olean. He was first employed by Messer Oil Corp from 1950 to 1966. In 1967 he began employment with the former First National Bank and became an assistant trust officer in 1971. The bank later became Manufacturer's Hanover Trust Co. for which he became a trust officer in 1976. In 1984 he was appointed the assistant vice president, retiring in 1992.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Allegany and the Olean Elks Lodge.
Surviving are a brother in law Richard Moses of Hinsdale; a niece Carol
(Stephen) Greco of Franklin Square; 2 nephews Richard (Janine) Moses
and David E. Moses, both of Hinsdale; a foster son Dean R. (Lori) Kent of
Hinsdale and several cousins.
He was predeceased by a sister Joanna Moses in 1999.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Sunday (September 27, 2009) from 11:00am until time of services at 1:30pm. Rev. Gerard leFeber, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church in Allegany, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Franklinville. Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
