ALBERT F. BUCHER ALLEGANY – Albert F. Bucher, a long time Allegany resident, died Friday December 19, 2003 at St. Joseph's Manor. Born in Allegany on December 2, 1910 he was a son of Jacob W. and Frances C. Barnick Bucher. Mr. Bucher worked for many years with his family farming and working oil leases. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus, council #1220. He served on the Allegany School Board for many years. He is survived by two brothers, Donald J. Bucher of Olean and John R. (Rosemary) Bucher of Rochester; two sisters, Beatrice Paulman of Belmont and Elizabeth M. "Betty" Wilcox of Westons Mills and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Virginia C. !McAullife and Mildred G. Bucher; two brothers Harold T. Bucher and James L. Bucher. Friends will be received on Monday December 22, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday December 23, 2003 beginning with a prayer service at the funeral home at 9:30 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bonaventure Church at 10:00 AM. Rev. Richard Husted, OFM will be celebrant. Committal services and burial will follow at St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Bonaventure Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
