“Loving mother and grandmother”
Lakeland, FL—Marion M. Schieler Cramer, 71, a former resident of Olean, died Monday (January 7, 2008) in Lakeland, FL after a long illness.
Born September 23, 1936 in West Hickory, PA she was the daughter of Elliott E. Hurd and Edith Ruth Fanning Garmack. She was married to James R. Schieler who predeceased her in 1974. On July 3, 1975 she married Clarence “Wayne” Cramer who survives.
Mrs. Cramer had resided in Olean for 38 years prior to moving to Lakeland in 1975. She was a homemaker and was a former member of St. John’s Church in Olean.
Surviving besides her husband are 4 daughters Susan E. (Timothy) Welch of New York, Vickie M. Schieler of Fort Worth, TX, Debra J. Schieler of Little Genesee and Kathleen (Roy) Douglaus of Lakeland, FL; 1 son James (Jenee) Schieler, Jr. of Aberdeen, NC; 4 stepchildren Joy Cramer, Jodi Cramer, Kathy Cramer and David Cramer; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 5 sisters Joyce Moore, Barbara Foster, Sandra Hurd, Elaine (“Fletch”) Fletcher and Cynthia Hurd; 1 brother Randy Hurd and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son Thomas A. Schieler in 1953; 5 sisters Evelyn Joyce, Shirley Roland, Dorothy Frederick, Sharon Hurd and Janet Hurd and 2 brothers John Hurd and Jim Silsby.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held Monday (January 14, 2008) at 1:00pm in the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Msgr William Wangler, pastor of St. John’s Church in Olean, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
