Albert L. "Tat" Catani Olean, NY-- Albert L. "Tat" Catani of W. Windfall Rd. died unexpectedly Wednesday (December 3, 2003) in his home. Born January 10, 1921 in Olean, NY he was the son of Anthony and Christina Rossi Catani. Mr. Catani was a veteran of WWII, having served with the US Army. He was later employed for 33 years for General Motors Chevrolet Plant in Buffalo, retiring in 1980. He was a member of St. Mary of the Angel’s Church in Olean and belonged to the American Legion Olean Post 530. He was also a member of the United Auto Worker’s Union Local #1173 in Buffalo. Mr. Catani enjoyed his many friends and he loved to garden and to hunt. Surviving are 3 brothers Geno Lorenzini of Olean, Raymond Lorenzini of Rochester and James Lorenzini of Franklin, TN; 2 sisters Gloria Bradley of Birmingham, AL and Olga Neporadny of Olean and several nieces and nephews. At Mr. Catani’s request, there will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend funeral services to be held Monday (December 8, 2003) at 10:00am in the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor of St. Mary of the Angels Church in Olean will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
