Delbert L. Allwood
Hinsdale, NY—Delbert L. Allwood, recently of Underwood Manor, died Wednesday (July 30, 2008) in the Olean General Hospital.
Born January 18, 1938 in Olean, NY he was the son of Charles F. and Clara A. Wilber Allwood.
Mr. Allwood lived for many years in Olean and had formerly been employed by St. Bonaventure University in the maintenance department. He also resided at the home of his sister in Englewood, FL where he enjoyed riding his bicycle.
Surviving are several nieces, nephews and other relatives including Cleatus and Teresa Edel Remmy of Warren, PA.
He was predeceased by his sister Marie J. Edel on September 15, 2006.
Friends are invited to a funeral service to be held Friday (August 1, 2008) at 10:00am at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Rev. Bert Tidlund will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
