FREDA B. LEMON HINSDALE - Freda B. (Bennett) Lemon, a resident of the Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Olean Campus and of 1601 Gile Hollow died Thursday May 22, 2003 at the Olean General Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Bradford, PA on May 4, 1924 she was a daughter of William and Hattie Bennett of Eldred. On July 6, 1940 in Olean she married Harry Lemon who predeceased her December 31, 1999. Freda was a loving Mother to her only daughter, Mary (Ronald) Deibler, Sr. with whom she resided. She was a beautiful grandmother to her grandchildren; Ronald (Kris) Deibler of Eldred, Carl (Brenda) Deibler, Carla (Diebler) Balser, Kevin (Tammy) Deibler, Michael (Jeanette) Deibler and Shannon Deibler, all of Hinsdale. Freda leaves behind 13 great grandchildren who loved her very dearly. She is also survived by two sisters, Dorthey Morrison of Olean and Janet (Walt) Heyers of Erie, PA. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Hattie Lemon and brothers and sisters, Jessie See, Esther (Bennett) Flemming, Junior Bennett, Stanley Bennett, Alvin Bennett and Edgar Bennett. Freda was a life member of the Hinsdale Fire Department Auxiliary and was a member of the Eldred American Legion, post 0887 for over 50 years. She was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God in Olean. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean Saturday May 24, 2003 from 1-4 PM at which time funeral and committal services will be conducted. Rev. Roy Elliott, pastor of House of Prayer in Bolivar will officiate. Freda's great grand daughter, Lacee Deibler of Eldred will read from her great grandmother's favorite bible some special verses that Freda cherished. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Hinsdale Fire Department, Hinsdale, NY 14743
