Obituary of Jessie J. Kolin
Jessie J. Kolin Allegany, NY Jessie J. Kolin, a recent resident of Eden Heights and formerly of 1791 De Soto Lane died Wednesday (June 26, 2002) in The Waters of Allegany. Born June 16, 1912 in Pittsburgh, Pa she was the daughter of Walter and Eleanor Zielinski Cykoski. On January 19, 1932 in Westfield, NY she married Albert Kolin who predeceased her November 5, 1976. Mrs. Kolin had resided in Allegany for over 50 years and along with her husband owned and operated the Tastee Freeze in Allegany during the 1950's until they sold the business in 1960. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and she enjoyed gardening. Surviving are 1 son Retired Colonel Raymond A. (Alice) Kolin of Harker Heights, Texas; 3 daughters Dolores (Marshall) Learn II of West Chester, Pa., Alberta Petty of Ft. Pierce, Fl and Carol (Lynn) Shaffer of Allegany; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 1 sister Elnore Jagillo and 4 brothers Alphonse Cykoski, Henry Cykoski, Edward Cykoski and John Cykoski. There will be no prior visitation. Friends are invited to attend funeral services to be held Monday (July 1, 2002) beginning with a prayer service at 9:30am in the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Bonaventure Church. Rev. Kevin Downey, OFM, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Bonaventure Church, the Allegany Fire Department or to a charity of the donor's choice.
