Jean M. Bell
Hinsdale, NY—Jean M. Bell of 1378 Sherlock Hollow Rd. died Wednesday (November 26, 2008) in the Highland Health Care Center in Wellsville, NY.
Born August 21, 1941 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Sroka Sorochin. On November 26, 1964 at St. Mary’s Byzantine Church in Olean she married Donald E. Bell who survives.
Mrs. Bell was a homemaker who enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, knitting and crocheting.
Surviving besides her husband are 1 daughter Diane (Scott) Witzigman of Hinsdale, 1 sister-in-law Cathy Sorochin of Amity Lake, NY and 2 nephews Adam Sorochin and Craig Sorochin.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by 1 brother Ronald Sorochin.
A private family only visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean. A private family-only funeral will follow on Monday (December 1, 2008) at 10:00am in the funeral home. Rev. Barry Allaire will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
