"loving mother and grandmother" KillBuck, NY-- Ethel E. Bennett, 81, formerly of Allegany, residing at the home of her daughter in !KillBuck died Saturday (May 31, 2003) at The Waters of Salamanca after a lengthy illness.
Born January 28, 192 in Lewis Run, PA she was the daughter of Charles and Effie Gallentine. She was the wife of the late Norman Bennett who predeceased her in May of 1993 after 49 years of marriage.
Surviving are a loving daughter Marcia (Mike) !McGraw of !KillBuck; a grandson Richard Jacobs of Bradford, PA; 2 great grandchildren Shauna Jacobs and Adam Jacobs of Salamanca whom she loved dearly; 1 brother David (Jane) Gallentine of Greenville, OH; 4 sisters Ella Pollock of Rochester Mills, Pa, Millie Stamp of Hubbard, OH, Louise Lewis of Niagara Falls, NY and Peg States of Meadville, PA and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by 1 brother Harold Gallentine.
There was no visitation. A graveside service was held today (Monday June 2, 2003) at 11:00am in Allegany Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
