Obituary of Julia M. Gordon

Julia Marie Gordon Olean, NY—Julia M. Gordon of 1718 W. Fall Rd. died Monday (December 15, 2008) in her home with her loving family at her side. Born December 12, 1931 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of Stanley and Julia Gawronski Kolasinski. In 1950 at the Transfiguration Church rectory she married Kenneth E. Gordon, Sr. who survives. They had been married for 58 years. Mrs. Gordon was a lifelong resident of Olean and was a homemaker. She enjoyed taking care of her home and being outside growing flowers in her garden. She also was an avid bingo player. Surviving besides her husband are 4 children John C. Gordon, Theodore (Terry) Gordon, Kenneth E. (Lisa) Gordon, Jr. and Lois (Jerry) Sullivan, all of Olean; 5 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; 2 great grandchildren; 3 sisters Ann (Kenneth) Putt of Olean, Elizabeth “Betty” Shick of Eldred, PA and Theresa (Walter) Brol of Allegany; several nieces and nephews and a special friend Susan Campbell. She was predeceased by 5 brothers John Kolasinski, Louis Kolasinski, Lucas Kolasinski, Stanley Kolasinski and Theodore Kolasinski and 3 sisters Viola Bush, Mary Gunns and Sophie White. There will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
