Obituary of Kathryn Teresa Wallace

Kathryn Teresa Wallace “former Olean resident” Buffalo, NY—Kathryn Teresa Wallace, formerly of Olean, died Friday (January 26, 2007) in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Buffalo. Born August 8, 1909 in Mashawaka, IN she was the daughter of Henry and Ellen Cunningham Meyer. On June 5, 1943 she married Dr. Malcolm V. T. Wallace who predeceased her September 20, 2000. Mrs. Wallace was educated at Mishawaka High School and also at South Bend College of Commerce. She had formerly been employed by Studebaker Corp. in South Bend, IN. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and its Altar and Rosary Society. Surviving are 1 daughter Mary C. Wallace of Buffalo; 2 sons Michael W. Wallace of Elma and Edmund Wallace of Las Vegas, NV and 10 grandchildren and 1 niece. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by 1 brother Louis Victor Meyer. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Sunday (January 28, 2007) at 5:00pm in the St. Bonaventure University Chapel. Rev. James Vacco, OFM was the principal celebrant. Burial was in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Franciscan Fraternity c/o St. Bonaventure University. Arrangements were under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
