Obituary of Beatrice D. Lippert

Beatrice D. Lippert “Grandma Bea” Allegany, NY—Beatrice D. Lippert of 3863 Old State Rd. passed away Thursday (March 15, 2007) in her home. Born November 11, 1925 in Allegany, NY she was the daughter of Harold and Mary Cassidy Grandusky. On June 11, 1946 at St. Bonaventure Church in Allegany she married Stephen M. Lippert who predeceased her July 25, 2006. They had celebrated 60 years of marriage. Mrs. Lippert was a 1943 graduate of Allegany High School and had resided in Allegany all of her life. She was a devoted homemaker having raised nine children, and also along with her husband she owned and operated the former Allegany Liquor Store. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Vandalia and its Altar Society. She was a former member of the Catholic Daughters of America, was a member of the Allegany Fire Department Auxiliary and was a life member of the Allegany American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are 9 children Matthew (Cathy) Lippert of Allegany, David (Barbara) Lippert of Allegany, Stephanie (Brian) Klice of Friendship, Thomas (Josephine) Lippert of Allegany, Mary Ann (Don) Yehl of Allegany, Daniel (Dorothy) Lippert of Olean, Lynn (Penny) Lippert of Allegany, Melodie (Richard) Giardini of Allegany and Carol (Dean) Truman of Allegany; 24 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; 1 sister Margaret “Peg” Tupper of Olean and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by 1 sister Mary Rich and 1 brother Joseph Grandusky. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday (March 19, 2007) at 10:00am in St. Bonaventure Church. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
