Obituary of Terrance E. Knox

Allegany—Terrance E. Knox of 2934 Five Mile Road Allegany, passed away Friday April 6, 2007 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester NY after a brief illness. Born April 20, 1948 in Wellsville he was the son of Harold and Frederica Knox. On October 7, 1978 in Allegany he married Margaret A. Kolasinski, who survives. Mr. Knox was a graduate of Wellsville High School. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force from 1967-1971 serving in the Vietnam War. He was employed as an animal control officer in Orange County and most recently as a security dispatcher at St. Bonaventure University. He was a member of the Allegany American Legion and also enjoyed animals, painting and making people laugh. Surviving besides his wife, is a step-son Richard Boats of New Hope PA, a sister Patricia Wheaton of Belmont, a sister-in-law Carolyn Kolasinski of Olean and several nieces and nephews. A memorial visitation will be held at Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Road on Wednesday April 11, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A graveside service will be at held at St. Bonaventure Cemetery, on Thursday April 12, at 10am with Rev. Dan Reilly OFM, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the ASPCA Tributes 110 Fifth Floor NY, NY 10011 or to the Rose Pappa’s Foundation c/o Cattaraugus Community Regional Foundation, 120 N. Union St. Olean NY.
