Obituary of Clifford P. Wills

Clifford P. Wills Olean—Clifford P. Wills of 312 N. 12th St. Olean, passed away Monday April 30, 2007 at the Olean General Hospital. Born September 18, 1930, he was the son of Clarence and Lucile Thrall Wills. On May 30, 1951, he married Garnet A. Southwick, who predeceased him January 28, 1981. Mr. Wills attended Cuba High School. He originally worked on the family farm prior to enlisting in the United States Navy where he served honorably for 20 years until 1968. After the Navy, he worked at Cooper Power Systems in Olean for many years until his retirement in 1992. He was an avid sports fan, including NASCAR, the Buffalo Bills, and the Sabres, he also enjoyed playing cards. Surviving is a daughter Linda S. Gill of Houston, TX, 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a sister Alma (Leland) Smith of Geneseo, NY; a brother-in-law Larry Stafford of Holly Hills, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife he was also predeceased by a son David Wills in March 2003 and a sister Marjorie Stafford. Friends will be received at Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean, on Thursday from 5-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday (May 4, 2007) at 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will be in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Franklinville. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association 210 John Glenn Drive #3 Buffalo, NY 14228.
