Allegany—Dorothy “Pat” Livingston, a resident of The Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center in Olean for the past 7 years, died Tuesday May 1, 2007.
Born September 1, 1921, in Mobile Al, she was the daughter of Albion and Dorothy Spur Ewton. On June 15, 1946, in Olean, she married Robert H. Livingston Jr., who predeceased her on September 15, 2006.
Mrs. Livingston had resided in Allegany since 1946. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Allegany and its Ladies Aide Society. She had taught Sunday school there for many years. She was also a member of the Allegany Firemen’s Auxiliary, the D.A.V. Auxiliary, and the Sixty Plus Club in Allegany. Mrs. Livingston had been employed by the “Gift Fountain” in Olean until her retirement.
Surviving are a daughter, Alice “Lucy” (Jim) !McMillen of Allegany, a son Robert H. (Terri) Livingston III of Tamaqua, PA; seven grandchildren: Robyn Robertson of Limestone, Mary Beth Seeley and Jeff Livingston of Allegany, Lauri Livingston of Glen Gardner, N.J., Robert H. Livingston IV of Tuscaloosa, Al., Shayne and Ryen Livingston of Tamaqua, PA; seven great-grandchildren: Christopher Cleveland, Jennifer Cleveland, Jamie Chase, Eric Seeley, Alyson Seeley, all from Allegany, Sean Robertson of Limestone and Francis Bennett of Glen Gardner NJ; a sister Margaret Helmer of Mobile, Al., a brother Albion Ewton, Jr., of Bay City TX; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Services will be held Saturday May 5th, at 11:00am at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Allegany. Rev. Gerard leFeber, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church or to the Allegany Fire Dept.
