Piacentino "Denny" Napoleoni
"Loving father, avid bingo player"
Olean, NY-- Piacentino "Denny" Napoleoni of 401 Alder St. died Monday (June 16, 2003) at The Waters of Allegany after an extended illness.
Born May 4, 1933 in Maenza, Italy he was the son of Enrico and Giovannina Napoleoni. In 1953 he emigrated to the United States and was employed by Olean Tile Co. for 38 years from 1953 until 1990.
Mr. Napoleoni was an avid gardener, euchre player and poker player, and he loved to play bingo. He will be remembered for the many years he enjoyed preparing spaghetti dinners to benefit the Town of Olean Fire Department. He was a member of the Olean Elks Lodge, the Olean Moose Lodge and the Olean American Legion.
Surviving are 3 daughters Genevieve (Bruce) Tucker of Woodbridge, VA, Victoria (C. Anthony) Irizarry of Allegany and Darla Napoleoni of Olean; 2 sons Anthony (Christine) Napoleoni of Bolivar and Denny (Josie) Napoleoni of Chandler, AZ; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 2 brothers Alfredo (Gail) Napoleoni of Olean and Rino Napoleoni of Maenza, Italy and several nieces and nephews. The family will always remember Theresa Morsman and her children.
Friends were received on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm in the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Funeral services were held today (Friday June 20, 2003) at 10:00am in the funeral home. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor of St. Mary of the Angels Church officiated. Burial was in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany, NY. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Marie Lorenz Dialysis Center 515 Main St. Olean, NY 14760.
