E. Pauline Aiken
Allegany, NY—E. Pauline Aiken of 93 N. 2nd St., formerly of RD2 Wellsville died Monday (May 21, 2007) at The Waters Of Allegany Health & !ReHabilatation Center in Allegany, NY.
Born September 12, 1917 in Genesee, PA she was the daughter of Charles A. and Mable L. Cool Reynolds. On October 12, 1935 in Eldred, PA she married Elmer D. Aiken who predeceased her in July of 1965.
Mrs. Aiken was a graduate of Genesee, PA High School and was a longtime member of Stannards United Methodist Church. She was also a life member of the Willing Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing golf and was still active at golf past the age of 80.
Surviving are 2 daughters Janice J. Rickey of Allegany and R. Kathleen Talbot of Tujunga, CA; 8 grandchildren David Rickey of Allegany, Julie (John) Smith of Indiana, PA, Patricia (Tim) !VanSkiver of Allegany, Michael (Suzie) Nye of Wellsville, Christopher Nye of Potsdam, Stacy Talbot of Costa Mesa, CA, Cindy (Jeff) Godown of Stevenson Ranch, CA and Scott Talbot of Tujunga, CA; 3 great grandchildren Nathan Smith of Indiana, PA, Shannon Nye of Wellsville and Tyler Godown of Stevenson Ranch, CA.
In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a son Phillip R. Aiken in 1988 and a daughter Karen E. Nye in August 2005.
The family will receive friends on Friday (May 25, 2007) from 12:30 until 1:00pm in the Stannards United Methodist Church in Willing, NY. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00pm in the church. Rev. Regina Shaw, co-pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Stannards Cemetery, Wellsville, NY.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Stannards United Methodist Church or to the Allegany Fire Department.
