Harold and Alice (Harvey) Caverly
A memorial graveside service will be held for Harold Caverly and Alice (Harvey) Caverly on Sunday May 27, 2007 at 2pm in Maplehurst Cemetery in Hinsdale, with Rev. Dr. Carl Schultz officiating.
Mr. Caverly was born September 21, 1923 in Hinsdale to Marion and Marian (Witter) Caverly. He was the Commander of the Hinsdale American Legion from 1954-1955. Mr. Caverly passed away September 1, 2004 in Florida.
Alice (Harvey) Caverly was born November 17, 1930 to Joseph and Leora Grant Harvey. On July 24, 1949 Harold and Alice married at Peoples United Methodist Church in Olean. The couple had lived in Florida for the past thirty years. After Harold had passed away, Alice moved to North Carolina to live closer to their son and daughter. Mrs. Caverly passed away on December 5, 2006 in North Carolina.
They are survived by their five children: Brian Caverly of West Sand Lake NY, Karen Bortoli of Burbank CA, Alan Caverly of Monee IL, Susan Miller of Charlotte NC, and Glen Caverly of Charlotte NC; a brother Phil Caverly of Hinsdale; a sister Lillian Snowdeal of Florida; 12 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren.
