Robert T. Hamed
Olean— Robert T. Hamed of 130 N. Barry Street, Olean passed away unexpectedly on Saturday (July 7, 2007) in Millard Fillmore Hospital at Gates Circle in Buffalo.
Born January 30, 1956 in Olean, NY he was the son of George and Edith Yorke Hamed. He graduated from Arch Bishop Walsh High School and Damien College in Buffalo.
Mr. Hamed was employed at Olean Advanced Products as a tester for the past 35 years. He was also an avid bingo player. He was a kindhearted, giving person who would help anybody.
Surviving are his mother of Olean, 3 brothers Joseph (Candice) Hamed of Rochester NY, George Hamed of Olean and Russell Hamed of Olean; a sister Mary Anne Gibbons of Olean and James Gibbons of Olean, and 2 nieces Jaci and Kylee Gibbons, both of Olean.
He was predeceased by his father on April 27, 1961.
Friends will be received at Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Road, Olean on Thursday from 1-4 pm. A funeral mass will be held Friday (July 13, 2007) at 10:00am in St. Joseph’s Church with Rev. Joseph Akiki, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
Memorials if desired can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
