Olean—William G. Stuchell of 410 Martha Ave. passed away Thursday (August 23, 2007) at his home after a long illness.
Born May 25, 1926 in Coolspring PA, he was the son of John and Creo Hoffman Stuchell. On November 28, 1945, in Worthville PA, he married Alice M. Donaldson who predeceased him on April 24, 1997.
Mr. Stuchell was first employed as a coalminer and then later employed by the former Dal Tile for many years. He was a member of the Greater Bradford Senior Center and an honorary member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Bradford as well as a member of the “Wheel and Deal Flea Market Club.” He enjoyed doing crafts, ceramics, woodworking; jigsaw puzzles as well as going to flea markets and craft shows.
Surviving are two daughters Rose (John) Collins of Godley, TX and Linda (Jeffery) Love of Eldred, PA; his fiancé June Hand; 5 grand children; 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife he was predeceased by a brother, sister, grandson and 2 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Road, Olean on Tuesday (August 28, 2007) from 2:30pm until the start of the funeral at 4:30pm. Rev. John R. Schubert of the Grace Lutheran Church in Bradford will officiate. Burial will take place at the Hartsville Cemetery, Hartsville NY.
Memorials if desired may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
