Obituary of Charleen M. Creed Rowand

Charleen M. Creed Rowand “Loving mother and grandmother” E. Smethport, PA—Charleen M. Creed Rowand of Route 6 died unexpectedly Sunday (December 2, 2007) in the Regional Medical Center in Bradford, PA from an apparent heart attack. Born January 19, 1962 in Rochester, NY she was the daughter of Bobby Creed and !JoAnn Foster Lewis. Ms. Rowand attended school in Olean and had resided in E. Smethport for many years. She was most recently employed as a teacher at the Olean YMCA Child Care Center. She had a passion for caring for children and she was an organ donor. Surviving are her mother and stepfather !JoAnn and George Lewis of Eldred; her fiancé John Orris of Smethport, PA; 4 sons Christopher Rowand of Olean, Shelton Rowand of Olean, Timothy Rowand of Smethport, PA and Trevor Rowand of Smethport, PA; 2 granddaughters Carissa and Alana; 1 step grandson Jayden; 5 brothers and sisters Sherry (Alan) Moat of Gillsville, GA, Teresa (Gary) Riehle of Olean, Rodney (Juli) Creed of Olean, Corey (Becky) Creed of Melbourne, FL, Gregory Lewis of Eldred, PA and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father in 2004, a grandson Noah David Boser in 2002 and a brother Chad E. Creed in 1982. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-8pm at which time funeral services will be held. Rev. Frank Hayman, pastor of the Allegany Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Olean YMCA Child Care Center 1050 Wayne St. Olean, NY 14760.
