June M. Ksionzyk “loving wife, mother and grandmother” Allegany, NY-- June M. Ksionzyk of 4115 S. Nine Mile Rd. Lot 166 died Tuesday (March 14, 2006) in the Olean General Hospital after a long illness. Born April 12, 1921 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of Orla and Ava Buck Woodard. On October 26, 1946 at St. Mary of Angels Church in Olean she married John L. Ksionzyk who survives. Mrs. Ksionzyk was a graduate of Olean High School and of Westbrook Commercial Academy in Olean. She first worked for the former Messer Oil Co. prior to her marriage. From 1963 to 1980 she worked as a teacher’s assistant for the Olean City School District. She was a member of the Transfiguration Church in Olean. Surviving besides her husband are 2 daughters Carole (Nicholas) Amato of West Dundee, IL and Joan (Roger) Gilette of Rochester; 3 sons Lawrence Ksionzyk of Portland, OR, Paul (Diane Pezzimenti) Ksionzyk of Olean and Thomas (Anne) Ksionzyk of Decatur, GA; 8 grandchildren; a sister-in-law Carolyn House of Keene Valley, NY and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Charles Cary Woodard and a sister Elizabeth Woodard. Friends may gather with the family for a memorial visitation at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean today (Thursday) from 6-8pm. A Memorial Mass will be held Friday (March 17, 2006) at 10:00am in Transfiguration Church. Rev. Jerome Stelmach, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation 331 Alberta Dr. Amherst, NY 14226.
