June M. Gallets “Loving wife, mother and grandmother” Olean, NY-- June M. Gallets of 314 S. 7th St. died Wednesday (March 15, 2006) in Sisters of Charity Hospital, Buffalo after a sudden illness. Born August 3, 1930 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of John and Frances Parret Threehouse. On May 2, 1953 at St. Bonaventure Church in Allegany she married Lawrence M. Gallets who survives. Mrs. Gallets was a lifelong resident of Olean and graduated from Olean High School, class of 1948. She later graduated from business school in Buffalo. She worked for the former Stegner’s Pharmacy in Olean prior to her marriage and then for Alcas Cutlery. She worked for 28 years in the banking business for the former First National Bank which later became Manufacturer’s Hanover Trust Co. She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church. She always enjoyed homemaking activities including sewing, and also enjoyed home improvement projects such as woodworking and painting. Surviving besides her husband are 2 sons Stephen (Beverly) Gallets of Waco, TX and Tom (Kathy O’Malley) Gallets of Olean; 2 granddaughters Katherine Gallets and Carolyn Gallets; 3 sisters Mary Graham and Sandra Threehouse, both of Olean and Sharon (Dr. Edward) Jordan of Portville; 1 brother James (Diane) Threehouse of Olean and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 sisters Virginia Kenyon and Barbara Case and 2 brothers John Threehouse and Ronald Threehouse. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held Monday (March 20, 2006) beginning with a prayer service at the funeral home at 9:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00am at St. Mary of the Angels Church. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Mary of the Angels Church Building Fund.
