DONALD F. PUTT, SR. HINSDALE - Donald F. Putt, Sr. of Gile Hollow Road died Friday November 22, 2002 at his residence. Born in Allegany on September 2, 1917 he was a son of William H. and Magdalena Homer Putt. On January 5, 1941 in Allegany he married Martha Boyle who survives. Upon graduating from High School, Mr. Putt was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad. He later owned and operated "Don's Friendly Service" in Olean for over 30 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was also a beekeeper. He was a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Allegany. In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter Brenda Wolfanger of Avon, NY and a son Donald F. (Sherri) Putt, Jr. of Hinsdale; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by three brothers, Walter, Howard and Loren Putt. There will no public visitations. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Wednesday November 27, 2002 at 7:30 PM at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Road, Olean. Glenn Kamery will officiate. Memorials may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2275 Dugan Road, Olean.
