Eve Marie Halliday Olean, NY-- Eve Marie Halliday, a lifelong Olean resident died Tuesday (May 30, 2006) in The Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center, Olean after a short illness. Born August 22, 1924 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of John and Mary Fraun. On October 21, 1948 in Olean, NY she married Nathaniel “Bud” Halliday who survives. Mrs. Halliday was formerly a nurses aide at the Olean General Hospital prior to devoting her life to being a homemaker. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church for over fifty years and was a person who enjoyed reading. Surviving besides her husband are 2 sons Larry James Halliday of Little Valley and Edward Clare Halliday of Buffalo; 1 daughter Bonnie Lynn Halliday of Portville; 2 granddaughters; 1 great granddaughter; 1 brother Joseph (Vinnie) Fraun of Chino Valley, AZ and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Mark Steven Halliday on August 2, 1978; 3 sisters Elizabeth Whitcher, Anna Harley and Barbara Allen and 1 brother Edward Fraun. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Thursday (June 1, 2006) from 10:00am until 11:00am at which time funeral services will be held. Rev. William !McNeil, pastor of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Olean will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
