Obituary of Beatrice L. Ensell

Beatrice L. Ensell Allegany, NY--Beatrice L. Ensell 63,of 93 North 1st Street, passed away Saturday June 3, 2006 at her home after a brief illness. She was born September 9, 1942 in Genesee PA and was the daughter of Caleb and Vinnie Currier Palmatier. On June 25, 1960 in Alma, NY she married Edward A. Ensell who survives. Mrs. Ensell was a graduate of Wellsville Central School class of 1960 and had been employed by the Allegany Nursing Home in the housekeeping department for 11 years, retiring in 1991. She enjoyed collecting teddy bears, traveling, camping and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Cattaraugus County Genealogical Society, Allegany Historical Society and the Allegany Senior Citizens Club. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Edward (Theresa) Ensell Jr.,of Allegany and Timothy (Tiffanie) Ensell of Allegany; two daughters Terri Emerson of Olean and Toni (Claude) Mink of Kenosha, WI; seven grandchildren; 1 brother Howard (Janet) Palmatier of West Falls, NY; two sisters Marilyn Crow of Allegany and Deborah (Michael) D'Antonio of Alma, NY and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by one sister Beverly Best and one niece Judianne Best. Friends may call at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Tuesday from 2-4 –7-9 pm. Funeral Services will be at the funeral home on Wednesday (June 7, 2006) at 11 am with the Rev. Clara Wilder officiating. Burial will be at the Allegany Cemetery.
