WILLIAM M. LOUK Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather OLEAN - William M. Louk of East River Rd. died Friday August 8, 2003 at his residence. Born May 6, 1932 in Bradford, PA he was a son of Olin D. Louk, Sr. and Dorothy L. Nichols. On October 1, 1951 in Olean he married Patricia A. Spaulding who survives. Mr. Louk served in the US Army in Korea. He was employed at Dresser Clark for 34 years retiring in 1994. He was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church and the American Legion. He loved to fish and enjoyed bird watching, especially eagles. In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Karen Louk of Olean; two sons Daniel Louk of Rochester and David (Suzanne) Louk of Olean; a grandson, Kenneth Louk of Olean; brothers Olin Louk, Jr and Ellis (Sue) Louk both of Bradford, PA; sisters Gloria Rankin of Duke Center and Norma (Vincent) Cavallero of Bradford and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Dorothy Louk and a brother Richard Louk. Friends will be received Sunday (August 10, 2003) at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean from 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday (August 11, 2003) beginning with a prayer service at the funeral home at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Angels Church at 10:00 AM. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor will be celebrant. Burial and committal services will follow at St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
