Ronald V. Hogan "Loving Husband, Former Funeral Director" Port St. Lucie, FL-- Ronald V. Hogan, formerly of Allegany, died Tuesday (January 25, 2005) in St. Lucie Medical Center after a long illness. Born May 23, 1928 in Olean, NY he was the son of Donald V. and Margaret Dollard Hogan. On May 23, 1953 at St. Joseph’s Church in Fredonia he married Ruth Walker who survives. Mr. Hogan graduated from Fredonia High School and also from the Simmons School of Mortuary Science in Syracuse, NY. He had been employed as an associate with the Hogan Funeral Home in Allegany and Olean prior to his retirement to Port St. Lucie in 1987. He was a member of St. Lucie Catholic Church, a former member of St. Bonaventure Church, a former member of the Elk’s Club in Olean and was a life member of the Allegany Knights of Columbus. He was an avid follower of all sports, and he enjoyed playing cards, especially pinochle. Surviving besides his wife are 2 sisters Mary Ann Migliori of Spencerport, NY and Margaret Bielawski of Port Charlotte, FL and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by 2 brothers Msgr Robert J. Hogan in 2000 and Donald J. Hogan in 1997 and 1 sister Elizabeth Seydel in 1994. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday (January 29, 2005) beginning with a prayer service at 9:30am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Bonaventure Church. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
