Obituary of Michele A. Bartholomew

Michele A. Bartholomew, PT, DPT Olean – Michele A. Bartholomew, PT, DPT of King Street died at the Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, Saturday February 12, 2005 as a result of an automobile accident. Born in Olean, NY on February 21, 1976 she was a daughter of William E. and Catherine E. Kosinski Foss. On July 31, 1999 at Christ United Methodist Church she married Joseph M. Bartholomew who survives. Michele graduated from Olean High School in 1994. She attended the University of Buffalo where she received a bachelor degree in exercise science in 1998 and a bachelor degree in physical therapy in 2000. Michele recently completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Damon College. She was employed as Director of Rehabilitation Today in Olean and was a member of the American Physical Therapists Association. Michele gave of herself to others in many ways. She was active with the March of Dimes where she volunteered and helped children in need. Her final unselfish gift was to donate her organs, so others may live. Michele loved life and enjoyed having fun. She was dedicated to her husband who she loved so dearly. She was an advocate of physical fitness and enjoyed playing softball, running and exercising. Michele's interests and talents were broad and diverse and included fashion, plants, cooking, traveling and her dogs, Jazmine, Zulu and Zoey. In addition to her husband Joe, she is survived by her parents Catherine Foss of Olean and William Foss of Olean; a sister Jennifer L. Foss of Olean; Uncles and Aunts, Paul (Margie) Kosinski of Olean and Karen Venetian of Cincinnati, OH; cousins Andrea Kosinski of Florida, Melissa Kosinski of Olean, Ryan Venetian of Cincinnati and Cara Venetian of Houston, TX. She was predeceased by her grandparents. Friends will be received on Tuesday February 15, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday February 16, 2005 at 10:00 AM at St. Bonaventure Church, Allegany. Rev. Gregory Brennan, OFM and Rev. Larry Ford, OFM will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany, NY.
