Betty Jean Ross
Grand Island, NY-- Betty Jean Ross of 1451 Whitehaven Rd. died Sunday (February 27, 2005) in the Buffalo General Hospital.
Born January 4, 1943 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of Joseph J. and Mabel Visengard Ross.
Miss Ross had resided in Olean most of her life and in recent years had resided with her family in Amherst, NY prior to moving to Grand Island. She was well cared for by her family all of her life and was like an angel in their eyes. She enjoyed being with her family and loved going out to restaurants to eat and then to shop. She also liked coloring, writing, watching TV and playing bingo.
Surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a sister Dorothy Earon Jackson in 1998, a brother Joseph J. Ross in 2003 and a dear brother-in-law Vance Jackson.
There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday (March 5, 2005) at noon in the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Sr. Regina Gertrude, OSF of St. Mary of the Angels Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to People, Inc. 1451 Whitehaven Rd. Grand Island, NY 14072.
