Obituary of Olive L. Blemaster

Olive L. Blemaster "Loving mother and grandmother" Englewood, FL - Olive L. Blemaster, a 20 year resident of Florida and formerly of Allegany, died Friday March 11, 2005 at the Inglenook Assisted Living Facility, Englewood, FL. Born in Great Valley, NY on August 27, 1906 she was a daughter of Herman and Caroline Groff Horning. On February 17, 1926 she married Floyd A. Blemaster who predeceased her June 16, 1989. Mrs. Blemaster was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Olean. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening and playing cards. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by four daughters, Jeanette (Lloyd) Bolles of Ft. Collins, CO, Doris (Lester) Severin of Webster Grove, MO, Marian (Eugene) Newburg of Portville, NY and Shirley (Robert) Zink of Englewood, FL; a son John (Joanne) Blemaster of Pepper Pike, OH; twenty grandchildren; thirty seven great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; a sister Alice Tilton of North Tonawanda, NY and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by four brothers, Walter Horning, Arthur Horning, Lauren Horning and Erwin Horning. Friends will be received on Tuesday March 15, 2005 at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday March 16, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church. Rev. Gerald Piper, pastor will officiate; Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Portville, NY.
