Obituary of Thelma Mead

Thelma "Tammy" Mead Rochester – Thelma "Tammy" Mead, formerly of Limestone died Thursday April 14, 2005 at the Monroe Community Hospital, Rochester. Born in Norwich, CT on December 26, 1958 she was a daughter of Stanley A. and Vivian C. Pachiodo Mead. Tammy was a graduate of Limestone High School. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bingo. Tammy loved making needlepoint on plastic canvas having won many awards at local art shows and county fairs. She is survived by two sisters Susan Bourbeau of Griswold, CT and Lois Mead of Olean; a brother Steven (Holly) Mead of Portville; a niece Danielle Bourbeau of Griswold, CT and two aunts Pauline (Alvin) Baits of Groton, CT and Onabelle (Vern) Jones of Buffalo. She was predeceased by both parents. Friends will be received on Saturday April 16, 2005 at the Central Baptist Church, 701 West State St., Olean from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at which time funeral and committal services will be conducted. Rev. Allen Yates will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Association or to the Diabetes Association. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean.
