Obituary of Shirley Ann Weimer

Shirley Ann Weimer "loving sister" Salamanca, NY--Shirley Ann Weimer, a resident of The Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center, Machias died Sunday (April 17, 2005) in Machias. Born May 17, 1930 in Glencoe, PA she was the daughter of James and June Kroushour Saylor. She was married to James Weimer of Berlin, PA who predeceased her. Mrs. Weimer was a graduate of Berlin-Brothersvalley High School and had worked as a Western Union operator and later as a nurse’s aide at Wimber, PA Hospital. She resided with her sister in Salamanca, NY from 1978 until she moved to The Pines due to health problems. She was a member of St. John’s Methodist Church of Meyersdale, PA. Surviving are 4 sisters Evelyn Warner of Salamanca, Lois Sacco of Cumberland, MD, Marlene (Merle) Ullman of Allegany, NY and Carolyn (Paul) Wymer of East Aurora, NY; 7 nieces and 5 nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by an infant son James Weimer, Jr. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Tuesday from 6-8pm. Visitation will continue at Deaner Funeral Service, Inc. 705 Main St. Berlin, PA on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday (April 21, 2005) at 11:00am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Glencoe, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Pines of Machias Activities 9822 Rte 16 Machias, NY 14101 or to St. John’s Methodist Church C/O Howard Murray 170 Old Deal Rd. Meyersdale, PA 15552.
