Virginia A. Grandusky "loving sister, aunt, friend" Allegany, NY--Virginia A. Grandusky of 3974 Route 417 Lot 59 died Thursday (May 5, 2005) in the Olean General Hospital after a long illness. Born July 11, 1926 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of John and Jennie Conable Grandusky. Miss Grandusky worked at the former Thatcher Glass Co. and later for Alcas Cutlery. She then resided in Mesa, Arizona for 37 years returning to Olean in 1992. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and the Allegany American Legion. She enjoyed socializing and traveling. Surviving are 1 sister June Molenda of Olean; a niece Pamela Kelly of Olean and a great nephew Shane Kelly of Portville. She was predeceased by a sister Maxine Casella in 2001. There will be no prior visitation. Friends are invited to attend a prayer service to be held Monday (May 9, 2005) at 9:30am in the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00am in St. Bonaventure Church. Rev. Richard Husted, OFM, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the SPCA 1644 Olean-Hinsdale Rd. Olean, NY 14760 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
