Obituary of Anne H. Kennedy

Anne H. Kennedy Allegany - Anne H. Kennedy of 4297 South Nine Mile Rd. died Wednesday August 10, 2005 following a lengthy illness. Born in St. Mary's, PA on February 18, 1939 she was a daughter of Floyd and Katherine Cheatle Herbstritt. On November 26, 1964 in St. Mary's, PA she married Charles E. "Bud" Kennedy who survives. Mrs. Kennedy was a graduate of Villa Maria College, Erie. She was employed for over 25 years at !HeadStart. Anne was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and the Lady Knights of Columbus. In addition to her husband she is survived by four daughters, Coleen Kennedy of Allegany, Maureen Jones of Elmira Heights, NY, Noreen (Mike) Boland and Aileen (Jeff) Hebner, both of Allegany; ten grandchildren; three brothers, Tom (Mary) Herbstritt, Maurice (Eleanor) Herbstritt and Roger Herbstritt; two sisters Marguerite "Midge" (Harold) Lenze and Sr. M. Helen, OSB, all of St. Mary's. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, James and Mark and two sisters, Rita and Catherine. Friends will be received today (Thursday August 11, 2005) and on Friday (Aug. 12) from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday August 13, 2005 beginning with a prayer service at the funeral home at 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Bonaventure Church. Committal services and burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany, NY. Memorials may be made to !HeadStart, 101 South 19th Street, Olean, NY 14760 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
