Barbara J. Baldwin "loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother" Olean, NY-Barbara J. Baldwin of 108-½ S. 12th St. died peacefully Sunday (August 28, 2005) in her home surrounded by family. Born November 4, 1933 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of Clifford and Winifred A. Norton Marvin. On May 27, 1950 at the First Methodist Church in Olean she married Jack M. Baldwin who predeceased her May 29, 2001. Mrs. Baldwin was a lifelong resident of Olean having worked as a cook for many area restaurants. She also worked for Acme Electric Co. and AVX Co. She retired as a deli cook from Reid's Food Barn in Olean. In addition to being a caring family person she loved her cat "Patsy". Surviving are a son Kenneth (Roxanne) Baldwin of Olean; 4 daughters Catherine (Larry) Smith of Cuba, Marcella (Ed) Smith, Cindy (John) Gerhard and Pam Hooper, all of Olean; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 sisters Margery A. (Francis) Mooney of Ceres and Verna (Robert) Dumke of Sidney, OH; 2 brothers Edgar Ross Marvin of Eldred and Robert E. Marvin of Atlantic Beach, FL and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by two grandchildren James Letts and Kimberly Letts; a brother Richard Marvin and a sister Twila Stickles. A family visitation will be held at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Tuesday (August 30, 2005) from 9:00am until 10:00am. Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery, Olean. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Homecare and Hospice 1225 W. State St. Olean, NY 14760 or to the American Cancer Society 101 John James Audubon Parkway W. Amherst, NY 14228.
