Obituary of Harlean Joan Gleason Buckner

Harlean Joan Gleason Buckner Olean – Harlean Joan Gleason Buckner of West Henley Street died Saturday December 3, 2005 at the Olean General Hospital. Born in Shinglehouse, PA on September 29, 1934 she was a daughter of Hal and Reva Stoddard Gleason. She was a 1952 graduate of Bolivar High School and later attended the Buffalo School of Bible and Jamestown Community College. Harlean was an active member of the Southside Union Chapel. She was a very giving person and served as a volunteer for numerous organizations including Interfaith Caregivers, Heritage Aflame Ministries, Cub Scout Den Mother and served on the executive board of the Doylestown, PA PTA for several years. She is survived by four sons, Robin (Sue) Buckner of Portland OR, Stephen (Debra) Buckner of Sellersville PA, Gregory (Diane) Buckner of Bradford PA, and Geoffrey (Barbara) Buckner of Portville; four grandchildren, Ryan Buckner, Joseph Buckner, Angela Buckner and Gregory Buckner, Jr.; five step-grandchildren, Dawn Morrisroe, Jill Torrey, Eric Haynoski, Michael Tabaka, and Laurie Tabaka; one great grandchild, Zachary Buckner; seven great step grandchildren, Patrick, Seth Ashlyn and Abby Morrisroe, Jackson Tabaka, Adam and !McKenzie Torrey and one sister Oressa (Richard) Overbeck of Pipersville, PA. There will be no public visitations. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean on Monday December 5, 2005 at 4:00 PM. Burial will be in Wells Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Heritage Aflame Ministries, 71 Boss St., Bolivar, NY 14715
