Leonard C. Ulasewicz
Olean – Leonard C. Ulasewicz of West Henley St., Olean died, Friday December 23, 2005 at the Olean General Hospital. Born in New York City on April 8, 1916 he was a son of Joseph and Leokadia Smolski Ulasewicz. He married Mary Shambra who predeceased him January 11, 1996.
Mr. Ulasewicz was a member of the Elks Lodge in New York City and the New York City Musician's Union. He was a professional musician and played the drums.
He is survived by two sons Robert (Maryellen) Ulasewicz and Richard (Peggy) Ulasewicz, both of Olean; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In addition to his wife he was predeceased by two brothers Joseph Ulasewicz and Anthony Ulasewicz.
There will be no public visitations. Friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday December 27, 2005 at 10:00 AM at Transfiguration Church. Rev. Jerome Stalmach, pastor will be celebrant. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Queens, NY. Memorials may be made to the Olean General Hospital Foundation, Nursing, 500 Main Street, Olean, NY 14760. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean.
