Obituary of Janet E. Miller

Janet E. Miller Franklinville, NY-- Janet E. Miller of 21 Johnson St. died Monday (December 26, 2005) at home surrounded by her family. Born September 12, 1962 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of John Barr and Elizabeth A. Perry. On November 27, 1998 in Franklinville she married Kurt S. Miller who survives. Mrs. Miller was a 1980 graduate of Allegany Central School and had worked as a waitress most of her life. She was most recently employed as an assistant manager at Perkins Restaurant in Olean. She will be remembered by family and friends as one who was a loving and giving person who especially treasured her children and grandchildren. Surviving besides her husband are her father of Houston, TX; her maternal grandmother Marion Lounsbury of !DuBois, PA; 2 sons Spc. Michael (Angeline) Barr stationed at Ft. Eustis, VA and David Walker of Austin, TX; 3 daughters Ashton Barr of Franklinville, Elisha (Jim) Hadden of Little Valley, NY and Amanda Barber of New Albion, NY; 4 grandsons; 6 brothers and sisters Laurie Barr-Witte of La Porte, TX, Craig (Cheryl) Barr of Purcellville VA, Cheryl Barr of Portville, S Sgt James (Laurii) Barr of Ft. Eilson, AK, Kathleen (David) Gifford of Harrisville, UT and Karen (Locke) Mouton of Ft. Mill, SC and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Elizabeth Fox in 1989. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Thursday (December 29, 2005) from 3 until 5pm where funeral services will be held at 5pm. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Franklinville Fire Department.
