Dorothy D. Youngs "Loving mother, grandmother" Olean, NY-- Dorothy D. Youngs of 301 W. Henley St. Brookside Apts. died Saturday (January 3, 2004) in The Waters of Salamanca Health Care Center. Born October 28, 1906 in Belmont, NY she was the daughter of Raymond and Elizabeth Ward Stephens. In January 1927 she married John B. Youngs who predeceased her in 1963. Mrs. Youngs was a resident of Olean most of her life and had been employed by the former Daystrom Furniture Co. during WWII. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. Surviving are 3 sons Robert A. (Dorothy) Youngs of Allegany, John R. Youngs of Terrell, TX and William Youngs of York, PA; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by 2 sisters Lottie !VanGorder and Laura Austed and 1 brother Walter Stephens. Friends will be received today from 2-4 & 7-9pm in the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Funeral services will be held Tuesday (January 6, 2004) at 10:00am in St. Stephens Episcopal Church. Rev. Cheryl Parris, assistant pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church.
