AGNES E. ANDERSON Citizen’s advocate" Allegany, NY--Agnes E. Anderson of 57 Colonial Village died unexpectedly Thursday (January8, 2004) in her home. Born March 16, 1932 in Almond, NY she was the daughter of Lawrence and Zila Brenneman. She was a graduate of Richburg High School and also of Rochester Business Institute. She also attended Alfred State College. Mrs. Anderson vocation was in helping others. She was one of the original volunteers who helped coordinate the creation of Cattaraugus Community Action and later the Southern Tier Legal Services in Olean. In addition to her work in helping others, she enjoyed crocheting and was also a NASCAR fan. Surviving are 2 sons Dan Anderson of Allegany and James (Lisa) Anderson of Asheboro, NC; 2 daughters Cathryn Anderson Rosetti of Allegany and Laurie (Lance) Blade of Olean; 14 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by 2 brothers Ernest Turybury and Charles Turybury. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Saturday (January 10, 2004) from 2 until 5pm at which time funeral services will be held. Rev. Dan !McDowell, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Olean, will officiate. Burial will be in Richburg Cemetery, Richburg, NY. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Allegany Fire Department or to the First Baptist Church 133 S. Union St. Olean, NY 14760.
