Marjorie R. !MacDonald Allegany, NY --Marjorie R. !MacDonald of 110 E. Main St. died Monday (January 26, 2004) in the Bradford, PA Nursing Pavilion after a long illness. Born November 9, 1916 in Bradford, PA she was the daughter of Charles and Thelma Burt Gannoe. On February 8, 1941 in Coudersport, PA she married Chester E. !MacDonald who predeceased her in 1971. Mrs. !MacDonald was a 1935 graduate of Bradford High School and first worked for Sears & Roebuck Co. in Olean. She then worked for 20 years for the former Olean Businessman’s Association (Olean Credit Bureau) and also as a reservations clerk at the Castle Motel for several years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and she enjoyed square dancing. Surviving are 2 sons Larry E. (Susan) !MacDonald of Galesville, MD and Thomas (Carol) !MacDonald of Allegany; 6 grandchildren; 2 sisters Jean Halwig of Minneapolis, MN and Evelyn (Ellsworth) Johnson of Bradford, PA and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held Friday (January 30, 2004) at 11:00am in the funeral home. Rev. Gerald Piper, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society 101 John J. Audubon Parkway Amherst, NY 14228 or to the American Lung Association of WNY, Inc. 210 John Glenn Dr. #3 Buffalo, NY 14228.
