Obituary of Ann M. Sue

Ann M. Sue Allegany, NY-- Ann M. Sue of 3999 Birch Run Rd. died Thursday (January 29, 2004) in the Buffalo General Hospital. Born April 5, 1921 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of John and May Martin !McCord. On December 12, 1940 in Rixford, PA she married John B. Sue who predeceased her September 16, 2000. Mrs. Sue was raised in Duke Center, PA and was a graduate of Otto-Eldred High School. For many years she worked as a bookkeeper for the former Geary’s Furniture Store in Allegany and also for the Sue Oil Co. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and had been recognized for her 50 years of service as its choir director. She was also active with the Ladies Aid Society of the church. She enjoyed singing and was a member of the former Sweet Adelines. Surviving are 2 sons John "Mac" (Barbara) Sue of Olean and David (Vickie) Sue of Shingletown, CA; 1 daughter Julie (Ron) Wolf of Allegany; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; 2 sisters Carolyn (Doug) Warner of Allegany and Marcia Karl of Allegany and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by 2 brothers Jack !McCord and Robert !McCord. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean today from 2-4 & 7-9pm and at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Allegany on Saturday (January 31, 2004) from 10:00am until 11:00am. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am in the church. Rev. Gerard leFeber, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Interfaith Caregivers 124 N. Union St. Olean, NY, St. John’s Lutheran Church or to the Allegany Fire Department.
