Obituary of Emma M. Humes

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Emma Mae Humes, a resident of Intandem’s Family Care Program, who passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the age of 81. Emma passed peacefully at her home, with her dedicated caregiver, Tracy Jaskolka, by her side. Born on December 22, 1943, Emma was the daughter of Emma Mae Warner. She spent a fulfilling life, working at SubCon Industries for 30 years, where she formed lasting relationships with her colleagues. Emma found joy in attending her DayHab program, with the coffee social being one of her favorite activities. She also had a passion for cooking and took great pleasure in her Minnie Mouse and Betty Boop collections. Beauty days and spending quality time with her friends were activities that brightened her life. Emma’s presence will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate Emma’s life on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean. Memorial contributions can be made to the Cattaraugus County SPCA, 1644 Olean-Hinsdale Rd., Olean, NY 14760. Emma’s kindness and spirit will be forever remembered.
