Obituary of Bobby Ray Creed

BOBBY RAY CREED "Former area musician" OLEAN – Bobby R. Creed of 401 Alder Street and formerly of Henderson, NC died Tuesday February 17, 2004 at the Olean General Hospital. Born in Fries, VA on January 23, 1937 he was a son of John and Gladys Sumner Creed. Mr. Creed was an area musician for many years. He enjoyed NASCAR and the Atlanta Braves. He loved his dog, "Bear". He is survived by five children; Sherry A. (Alan) Moat of Gillsville, GA, Teresa L. (Gary) Riehle of Cuba, NY, Charleen M. Rowand of Smethport, PA, Rodney R. (Juli) Creed of Olean and Corey S. (Becky) Creed of Duke Center, PA; fifteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren and two brothers, Marvin (Lessie) Creed of Sumter, SC and Vann (Cindy) Creed of Pittsboro, NC. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his step-mother Betty Creed, a son Chad Creed, a great grandson Noah Boser, sisters Cornelia Darnell and Joanne Creed and a brother, Curtis Creed. Friends will be received on Friday February 20, 2004 at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean from 6-7 PM at which time funeral and committal services will be conducted. Rev. Frank Hayman, pastor of the Allegany Baptist Church will officiate. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Condolences may be mailed to the family at PO Box 1027, Olean, NY 14760
