David A. Keller
Limestone, NY David A. Keller, of 4436 Nichols Run Rd., passed away Thursday (October 10, 2024) at the Olean General Hospital.
Born October 16, 1939 in Olean, he was the son of Paul and Frances Inman Keller. On October 3, 1959 at the former Free Methodist Church in Olean he married Marcella Schoonmaker who predeceased him April 23, 2010.
David was a 1957 graduate of Olean High School He enlisted in the US Marines where he served from 1962 to 1965.
After his military service, he worked for Bokman "Butch" Pontiac-Oldsmobile. Later he worked for Sandburg Oil Co. followed by many years as a motor oil salesman for Short's Oil Co. in Wellsville prior to his retirement in 2006.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles, dirt bikes, ATV's and most recently, UTV's.
He is survived by a niece Jane Schoonmaker of Bradford, the Erhardt family of Portville, and a half-brother Albert Lynn Keller of Ischua. He enjoyed his close circle of friends including Mike MacWilliams and his son Scott MacWilliams, and Tom Huntoon of Aiken, PA. Additionally, he was loved by Rhonda MacWilliams, Amy MacWilliams, Kinsey Prockton, Gabriel MacWilliams, Jonah MacWilliams, and Tucker Prockton. He will be truly and deeply missed.
Visitation will be on Tuesday (October 15, 2024) from 4-6pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd., Olean. Services will begin at 6pm. Burial will be alongside his wife Marcella and will be private at Mt. View Cemetery, Veterans Field of Honor in Olean.
