Obituary of Onolee L. Howard

Olean- Onolee Howard passed away peacefully Sunday (July 7, 2024) at Olean General Hospital after a long illness. Born March 30, 1935, in Allegany, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Lucille Dunham Nudd. On August 18, 1956, in Allegany, she married David W. Howard who predeceased her October 15, 2020. Mrs. Howard was a graduate of Allegany Central School. In her free time, she enjoyed canning and freezing fruits and vegetables. She was a member of the Five Mile Baptist Church and later joined the Allegany Baptist Church. She is survived by her 3 children James (Christine) Howard of Eldred, PA, Steven (Janet) Howard of Blades, DE, and L Linda (David) LaClaire of Hamburg; 6 grandchildren Adam (Nicole) Rogers, Sara (Henry) Evans, Aaron Howard, Auston (Gabby) Howard, Andrew Howard and Zachary Howard; 3 great-grandchildren Whyatt Howard, Lauren Rogers and Harrington Howard and one brother Anthony (Joyce) Nudd of Phoenix, AZ. The family will be present to receive friends on Friday (July 12, 2024) from 11am to 1pm, at the Allegany Baptist Church, 3236 Maple Ave. in Allegany. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm at the church. Pastor Mark Chapman will officiate. Burial will be in Five Mile Cemetery, Allegany. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Allegany Baptist Church, 3236 Maple Ave, Allegany, NY 14706. Arrangements under the direction of the Casey, Halwig, and Hartle Funeral Home.
